Cincinnati Zoo to start 'Home Safari Facebook Live' to keep kids learning during their time off

The Zoo will start streaming on Monday with a familiar face to kick it off
In an email to Thane Maynard, the director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, Jane Goodall, the world-renowned British primatologist and conservationist, said she felt "so sorry for you."

CINCINNATI — Are you ready to take a walk on the wild side from the comfort of your living room?

It's no surprise that cabin fever may be getting the best of your kiddos already, and the folks over at the Cincinnati Zoo understand.

The Zoo, which has more than 2 million followers on Facebook, announced earlier today that it plans to live stream several animals and exhibits starting tomorrow, March 16, every week day at 3 p.m.

With more than 71,000 reactions and 116,000 shares in under 12 hours on the post, people are commending the zoo for their commitment to furthering education while students are unable to be in the classroom.

If this news isn't enough to get you interested, the zoo has decided to kick off the new program with a bit of a celebrity...Fiona the hippo.

Fiona first rose to fame after being born prematurely, and she made history as the first Nile Hippopotamus to be born at the Cincinnati Zoo in over 75 years.

You can tune in tomorrow at 3 p.m. eastern to learn all about some of the interesting creatures that the zoo has to offer.
