The six-time Grammy Award winning pianist is leaving behind a legacy that spans decades. However, I want to reflect on the year 2006.

At the time, I was working as a correspondent for CBS News. I was afforded the opportunity to take a ride with Dr.John through his home town of New Orleans, Louisiana.

We discussed the city’s rich history, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and more. Here’s a fascinating 2006 profile of the man known as The Night Tripper that I did for CBS News Sunday Morning.
