NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — With summer in full bloom, many of us Ohioans have opted for patios, porches, beaches, backyards, and pools to soak up the sun.
Now imagine a summer afternoon, and you're looking to quench your thirst and maybe grab a bite to eat. Oh, and perhaps a lovely bouquet for your significant other?
3News' Jason Mikell met up with the owner of In The Weeds Jordan Slosar for a bit of insight into this contemporary take on where you can dine, drink, and create something special.
"I've been in the restaurant industry for a long time, and in the floral for about five years," Slosar told us. "I thought, 'What better way to modernize the floral industry than bring it in with a bar and restaurant?'"
In The Weeds features dinners, happy hours, and Sunday brunch, all complete with locally sourced ingredients and craft cocktails.
"We have everyday floral available for you in the coolers," Slosar says, "as well as flowers by the stem."
General Manager Derek Storozuk even whipped up a couple craft cocktails before Jason tasted some of the delicious food items, including Pamper Yourself (In The Weeds' take on a Paloma) and a cuban sandwich with house kettle chips on the side, as well as brussels sprouts with a sweet lemon panna cotta dessert.
