3 Things Poppin' in Northeast Ohio: LGBTQ + Career & Resource Fair, My Recovery Day Jam, Holiday Greeting Card Workshop

Get out and explore all that Northeast Ohio has to offer this weekend!

CLEVELAND — Have you lived in Northeast Ohio forever, or maybe you're new to the area? Whatever your story, the region has tons to offer when it comes to experiences and adventures.

However, at times it can be hard to find and narrow down the best ways to spend your time. That's where I come in.

Normally, I keep you up to date on the latest pop culture stories every day in "Pop Break" on "What's New" at 4 p.m. But now, with this new segment "3 Things Poppin' in Northeast Ohio," I'll be sharing with you my picks for trendy things to do on the weekends!

So without further delay, here's what I think you should check out in this weekend, Nov. 11 through Nov. 13.

LGBTQ+ Career and Resource Fair

Here at 3News, we love affirming spaces, and if you do too, you'll want to check out the LGBTQ+ career and resource fair at the LGBT Community Center.

On Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., attendees will have access to 20 local employers who are actively hiring, plus several skill building sessions. The event is put on by Plexus (the local LGBT + Allied Chamber of Commerce), and it's free and open to the public.

My Recovery Day Jam

If live music is more your speed, check out My Recovery Day's Jam at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

From 6-10:30 p.m., guests will hear live music from sober musicians delivering messages of hope in addition to having access to resources for those recovering from addiction. Limited tickets and streaming packages are available.

Sensational Saturdays: Greeting Card Upcycle

And last, but not least, how about getting in the holiday spirit with a greeting card workshop?

On Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., the Fairmount Center for the Arts is hosting two sessions on how to upcycle old cards with paper collage techniques, paint, and more. Tickets for this holiday fun start at just $35.
