CLEVELAND — The Ice Fest at North Coast Harbor is back, organizers announced on Monday.
The lakefront tradition will be held on Saturday, February 11, from 11 a.m. -6 p.m. in Voinovich Bicentennial Park.
The free event, presented by the City of Cleveland and Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA), features the Inaugural Hot Cocoa 5K & 1 Mile Walk, an array of immersive ice sculptures, carving demonstrations, ice bars and more around the inner harbor walkway and along E. 9th Street Pier, a news release said.
The great news is, this is a family event. So guests of all ages are invited to enjoy live carving demos, hot cocoa and kids’ crafts, the Ice Fest Scavenger Hunt, and 25-plus ice sculptures from world-renowned ice carvers. Sculptures will be on display by 10 a.m.
Also, while enjoying the festivities, guests can warm up at Nuevo Cleveland for a delicious bite to eat. Great Lakes Science center will also offer $5 off admission for Hot Cocoa 5K & 1 Mile Walk participants and Ice Fest attendees. Discount tickets for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are also available for Cleveland residents.
