A guide to watching the Royal Wedding properly from home

As many of you prepare for your Royal Wedding watch parties, we found some of the best options to add a royal touch.

Cleveland — It is a must see tv event for millions around the world. NBC's coverage of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be live on Channel 3 starts at 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

As many of you prepare for your Royal Wedding watch parties, we found some of the best options to add a royal touch.

We start with a proper spot of tea.

"Cheerio!" A smiling Carlos Ramos says standing in a sea of tin tea canisters at The Tea Lab in Lakewood.

Cheerio is the extent of his English accent.

But the Puerto Rican Clevelander who owns the tea lab knows a lot about the tea the English love.

First of all, he says, it should be loose-leaf tea and always with milk into the tea cup first.

THEN the tea goes in. It’s an English thing.

If you're serving a "spot of tea" to celebrate the royal wedding, impress your guests with this.

"They are the royal family of England but they are Welsh in background so if you want to be traditional I would say go with Scottish tea but the English Black Breakfast tea is going to be what everyone is going to be drinking this weekend,” Ramos says.

Which explains the chalkboard easel outside with a British flag on it and reads “English Black Breakfast Tea on SALE!”

Secondly, the scones.

From Scotland to England and right here in Gordon Square on Cleveland’s near west side at at Gypsy Beans and Baking is where you can score a lovely scone.

It will pair nicely with your tea at your "Can't get to England for the nuptials" wedding watch party here at home.

No crumpets at Gypsy Beans though.

They look a lot like *English* muffins, so in a pinch we say go with that at your *English* Royal Wedding watch party.

Seems crumpets hard to come by in the CLE.

The Ritz Carlton will be serving a traditional English breakfast starting at 6am in advance of the 7am broadcast of the Royal Wedding.

On the menu..a spot of bubbly, bellinis, momosas, bloody marys and more.

A lot of fancy pants delectables including scones with marmalade and Devenshire whipped cream.

There will be smoked sea food and bangers and mash.

For most of us, that's sausage and mashed potatoes.

But at McNulty’s Bier Market on W. 25th Street, when we say bangers and mash, Bar Manager, Kelsey Gilroy says, “Moules frites."

She brings out and describes what owner Sam McNulty says is a classic dish for the Brits.

"So we have our mussels here that have been steamed in white wine with shallots, garlic, a little bit of herbs and pomme frites, which we are famous for here, tossed with rosemary and garlic and they are fresh cut daily with garlic aioli . A super traditional dish,” Gilroy explains.

It's possible no one in Northeast Ohio is AS Prepared for a Royal Wedding watch party as Alice Uhas of Eastlake.

She came to Channel 3 to show us just HOW prepared, wearing her fascinator placed every so perfectly atop her head. Like a real deal Royal Wedding guest. BUT WAIT!!! There’s MORE! “Also my earrings are replicas of the ones Kate Middleton wore at her wedding, and of course I have pearls to honor the queen.” Uhas says, positively glowing and perfectly dressed for the crack of dawn Saturday morning.

The menu for her Royal Wedding watch party is set. She says feel free to use it as your checklist.

Egg Souffle

British Trifle

Scones

Elderflower Lemon Cake

Elderflower Lemon Cordial Cocktails

Fresh Asparagus, and Artichoke Snap Pea Salad

Beautiful Royal Treats

Cucumber Finger Sandwiches

Tea and Coffee

You simply can’t be too formal when celebrating the Royal Wedding watched round the world.

If I change my mind and decide to be up before the sun is on Saturday, I’m heading East to Alice’s house.
