CLEVELAND — The Countdown to NBA All-Star Weekend is officially on!
And with just over a month until the fun begins, a big-name brand is getting in on the action early.
Tower City Center in Downtown Cleveland is now home to "The Land X Complex Shop." It’s all a part of Bedrock’s plan to make what’s old new again, with Cleveland’s best at the forefront.
“Everyone has a tower city story… And we felt like this was a great opportunity to start telling new stories about tower city," explained Stanley Lumax, Managing Director of Complex climate.
From now through All-Star weekend, people can shop local brands like Ilthy, Undergod: By Field, Cookies Hoops, BristolStudio, Brand Aces, Circulate, Little Giants, and Blacasso and GraySkull, both created by northeast Ohio native and Complex host Racks Hogan.
"Visitors can expect a carefully curated variety of merchandise, exclusives, collaborations, ball drops each weekend, and chances at linking up with Cleveland-based creatives," said Complex's website of the experience.
Hogan is town helping to curate the shop and each week a new brand will be added to expand the collection.
“We’ve been doing our home our homework, meeting people locally and the brands that people keep talking about are the brands that we reach out to," said Lumax.
But fashion isn’t the only thing on display, local artist Stina Aleah will hold things done on the art front. She’ll be customizing basketballs in-person from the studio powered by Krink.
Because each item is so carefully curated with Cleveland in mind, there's something for everyone.
“Because it’s so heavily representative of Cleveland It’s a place you want to stop by, you’ll see yourself there," said Lumax.
And with so many eyes, from all over, coming to the area in the next month, it’s only right that the city and it's creatives, have a responsibility to let the world know just how much they have to offer, and not just now, but well into the future.
"Because tower city is so historical, being able to write that next chapter is important, and the only people that can write it are the people of Cleveland."
The Land x Complex SHOP will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., January 14 – February 20, 2022, in the Skylight Concourse of Tower City.
