Thousands flock to Medina Public Square for city's annual ice festival

The festival, on year 26, features both individual and team competitions that include prizes.

MEDINA, Ohio — Every year, as many as 30,000 people flock to the Medina Public Square to look at amazing ice sculptures.

More than 100 of them line the downtown area. The festival, on year 26, features both individual and team competitions that include prizes.

More than 100 sponsors are participating, and attendees can also shop at vendor tents, and grab a snack at the many food trucks and stops. Best part? It's free!

The individual competition takes place from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, while the team competition is noon-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, click HERE.
