Calling all filmmakers! The Cleveland International Film Festival is now accepting submissions for CIFF46, which is scheduled to take place March 30 – April 10, 2022.

Films of any runtime, of any genre and from any country – with a completed production date after June 1, 2020 – are eligible for consideration, organizers said. CLICK HERE for more on the entry process.

After two years going fully virtual, the 2022 Cleveland International Film Festival will provide hybrid offerings with in-person events taking place at their new and permanent home in Playhouse Square.

“There will also be an online component of CIFF46, with information to be shared at a later date,” officials said. “For its in-person presentation, CIFF46 will follow Playhouse Square’s protocols regarding the health and safety for everyone involved. All Festival details (including dates, format, and venues) are subject to change, based on science and community circumstances in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.”

Marcie Goodman, CIFF Executive Director said they’re excited to reinvent once again with their first hybrid festival next year.

“CIFF continues to evolve because of the hearts and hands of our community, which unflinchingly hold us up.”

Organizers say CIFF46 will consist of hundreds of films, post-film conversations and Q&As with filmmakers, balloting, and awards with cash prizes for feature and short films.

“CIFF is proud to be one of the few festivals in the world that is Academy Award qualifying for all three categories of short films -- live action, animated, and documentary.”
