CLEVELAND -- Are you ready for speed, Cleveland?
Fast & Furious 8 is expected to film scenes in Northeast Ohio, and the production needs to hire local crew.
“The Second Unit of Fast 8 is requesting submissions for local crew and vendors for its upcoming Cleveland shoot,” according to a post on the Greater Cleveland Film Commission’s Web site. “Those interested may contact the production by email only at email@example.com.”
There’s no word on when the Fast 8 crew will start filming, or how long it will be here.
IMDB currently only lists Atlanta and New York City as expected film locations for Fast 8.
Fast 8 will be released April 14, 2017.
It stars returning cast members Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris.
The Fast & Furious films are Universal’s most successful franchise of all time. Last year, Fast 7 brought in more than $353 million domestically.
Universal is already planning Fast 9 and Fast 10, which are currently slated to be unleashed in theaters on April 19, 2019, and April 2, 2021, respectively.
