AKRON, Ohio — Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron is expanding their attractions through a partnership with The Nightlight Cinema to offer "The Nightlight Under the Stars," an outdoor movie experience on the Stan Hywet grounds.

The partnership will bring six films to the grounds beginning with "Purple Rain" this Friday, September 4. Other screenings will include "Grey Gardens" on September 12; "The Last Black Man in San Francisco" on September 18; "Days of Heaven" on September 19; "Rear Window" on September 25; and "Vertigo" on September 26.

According to The Nightlight Cinema's Twitter account, the "Rear Window" screening on September 25 is sold out.

"We are very excited to partner with The Nightlight Cinema, a peer non-profit, to provide a safe, outdoor movie experience for the community," said Stan Hywet Executive Director Sean M. Joyce. "Stan Hywet is using the model that we've used for the Ohio Shakespeare Festival this summer, which resulted in sell-out performances. We expect The Nightlight Cinema will sell-out their performances as well."

Chairs will be provided for guests and masks will be required for attendance. There will be concession stands on site during all performances.

Tickets for the screenings are $20 and available online at htttps://www.nightlightcinema.com.
