Michael Stanley and Donnie Iris bringing joint concert to Youngstown

It's going to be a night filled with rock 'n' roll.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Two is better than one!

Michael Stanley and The Resonators are joining forces with Donnie Iris and The Cruisers for a combined concert in Youngstown this summer.

It takes place Saturday, July 18 at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.

Stanley -- a Cleveland rock icon -- formed the Michael Stanley Band in 1974. In 1982, the band set an attendance record of four sold-out performances at Blossom Music Center that still stands today with 74,404 people.

Last year, Stanley was immortalized in Cleveland as a downtown street was renamed in his honor.

Meanwhile, Donnie Iris and the Cruisers were formed in 1979.
