Robert Plant, Allison Krauss bringing 'Raising the Roof' tour to Blossom Music Center in June

The pair will perform hits from their acclaimed 2021 country cover album 'Raise the Roof' as well as the Grammy-winning 'Raising Sand.' Tickets go on sale this week.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — For the first time in more than a decade, Robert Plant and Allison Krauss will be bringing their acclaimed country music duets to an international audience.

Rounder Records announced Tuesday the pair will kick off a 24-date tour this spring following the release of their 2021 album "Raise the Roof." The schedule includes a June 28 stop at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls.

Plant and Krause may seem like an unlikely partnership to some, what with the former being best known as the lead vocalist for Led Zeppelin and the latter making her mark as one of America's famed bluegrass artists. However, they first teamed up in 2007 with "Raising Sand" featuring both classic covers and original songs, and eventually earned Album of the Year at the Grammys as well as Record of the Year for their performance of Plant's "Please Read the Letter."

Following a tour and sporadic meet-ups, the two reunited for "Raise the Roof," which also earned Grammy nominations for Best Americana Album, Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their cover of Merle Haggard's "Go Where the Lonely Go," and Best American Roots Song for Plant and T Bone Burnett's original "High and Lonesome."

Tickets for the "Raising the Roof" tour go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, but concert-goers can access pre-sale seats now at plantkrauss.com. Besides the Blossom show, Plant and Krauss will also be at the Rose Music Center in Huber Heights (near Dayton) on May 3.
