Tonight's Edgewater Live postponed (again) due to inclement weather

Tonight's headlining band will instead be featured next week.

For the third time in four weeks, the wet weather is affecting Northeast Ohioans' concert plans.

The Cleveland Metroparks announced Thursday that tonight's scheduled Edgewater Live concert featuring indie rock band Front Porch Lights has been postponed due to a heavy threat of rain in the forecast. The weekly event has so far only gotten one date go off as planned, with the May 30 and June 13 shows also being shelved due to bad weather.

FORECAST: Tracking more heavy rain and flooding potential

To make up for it, the Metroparks says next week's scheduled show will feature double-headlining acts Front Porch Lights and Recess, as well as opening act Grenon from Tri-C. A double-headline Aug. 15 show has also been scheduled with Cleveland's Breakfast Club and Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band, who had both originally been slated for the earlier canceled shows.

The remaining Edgewater Live schedule is as follows:

  • June 27: Front Porch Lights (Indie Rock) & Recess (Pop / Rock)
  • July 11: The Benjaminz (R&B / Motown)
  • July 18: Disco Inferno (Disco / Funk / ’70s & ‘80s)
  • July 25: The Cover Ups (‘90s / Rocking Dance Party)
  • August 1: The Prince Project Band (Prince Tribute Band)
  • August 15: Cleveland's Breakfast Club ('80s Rock) & Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band (Reggae)

In addition, officials say Friday night's Euclid Beach Live concert is still planned to go on as scheduled, featuring gospel headliner Sending up Songs of Praise.
