Cleveland Bagel Company opens new café in Kent

The northeast Ohio staple is now located in the old Starbucks building on East Main Street.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Bagel Company has been a staple in Northeast Ohio for nearly a decade. But now the popular bagel chain is expanding again, with a new location in Kent.

The third and newest location can be found at 436 East Main Street near the Kent State University campus. The new location also comes with a rich history. The nearly 100-year-old Tudor-style building has been home to previous entities including Brady's Café, the Robinhood Bar and most recently Starbucks.

With the influx of students in the area, the new café caters to student needs with an expanded menu, expanded hours, study lounges and worktops.

The new menu features a full coffee bar that offers coffee, lattes, and espresso. They also offer a variety of sandwiches including the pizza bagel, turkey-apple-brie, buffalo chicken and so many more.

To go along with their seven signature bagels, they’ve not forgotten about their signature schmear (cream cheese) that comes in traditional and seasonal flavors.

The Cleveland Bagel Co. Café is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.  For more information on Cleveland Bagel Co. and its locations, click here.
