Annemarie M. Grassi & Rich Wesorick - Open Doors Academy helps breaks the cycle of multi-generational poverty

Open Doors Academy provides out-of-school academic and enrichment programming to disadvantaged youth in Greater Cleveland.

The Open Doors Academy’s Annual Frolic Benefit is coming up this weekend!  And the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Open Doors Academy, Annemarie Grassi, along with ODA’s Board President, Rich Wesorick, sat down with Hollie & Alexa for a preview and to share more about this wonderful organization!

Below are the questions Hollie & Alexa asked Annemarie & Rich:
A lot of people think that Open Doors Academy is a school, but it’s not. How do you explain what ODA is and what you do?
How many kids and families do you serve, and what is the typical ODA scholar like?
What is it about ODA that make it so successful with youth?
You engage parents as well as the students, right?
So, once a scholar graduates from high school, how to you stay connected and engaged?
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing ODA and other youth-serving organizations in Northeast Ohio?
If someone or a company wants to get involved, what should they do?
Tell us about your Annual Frolic Benefit!
