“No Tougher Duty, No Greater Honor,” is a memoir of a Mortuary Affairs Marine. This book details the many events that transpired during a marine’s three deployments to Iraq. Author, Chris Bussler, sat down with Hollie and Alexa to share more.
Here is what they talked about:
Military books discussing the Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terror have been around for a long time. Some of them have become really famous such as American Sniper and Lone Survivor. Can you tell us what sets your book apart from all of these other books?
Working in Mortuary Affairs had to have been really tough work. How did you do it?
I can’t imagine that someone would volunteer to do your job in war. Did you volunteer for it or were you assigned?
What made you want to write the book?
Books usually try to convey a certain message to their readers. What would you say would be the message that your book is trying to deliver?
There is a special story about the United States flag that you discuss in your book. Can you elaborate on that?
