Hallie Rich & Kate Merlene- WKYC & Cuyahoga County Public Library’s Book Club: February’s Read

Get sucked into February’s book of the month: “Manhattan Beach,” by Jennifer Egan!

Are you in the market for a good book to read? Well listen up book lovers, because WKYC and Cuyahoga County Public Library have partnered up for a book club campaign! To hear more about the partnership- and about February’s read- Hollie & Michael were joined by Cuyahoga County Public Library Communications & External Relations Director, Hallie Rich, and Adult Services Supervisor for the Orange Branch, Kate Merlene.

Here are the questions Hollie & Michael had for Hallie & Kate:

  1. This partnership is still pretty new, so for our viewers who haven’t heard about it yet, tell us a bit about the book club!

  2. February’s book is “Manhattan Beach” by Jennifer Egan; can you tell us a bit about the book?

  3. What kind of reader do you think would enjoy “Manhattan Beach?”

  4. I understand the author, Jennifer Egan, is coming to visit on May 1st; will you be hosting any book discussions in the run-up to that?

  5. And we’re ready to announce our March title! “Outer Order, Inner Calm: Declutter and Organize to Make More Room for Happiness” by Gretchen Rubin! Can you tell us a bit about March’s book?

  6. Will Gretchen Rubin be visiting at any of the Cuyahoga County Public Libraries?

Are you participating in WKYC & Cuyahoga County Public Library’s Book Club? Which book are you hoping makes it on the list? Find us on social media at ‘Live on Lakeside’ and let us know!
