Spring: the season of new beginnings and revival. As the weather warms up, shopping malls, spas and department stores around Northeast Ohio will fill up with excited teenagers getting ready for prom night. But for teens with cancer, spending the night on the dance floor with their friends may not be an option. The cost of cancer treatment often means funds simply aren’t available for expensive dresses, renting a tux or splurging on a limo.  Fortunately, one organization is making it possible for teens with cancer to have the night they deserve by giving them the chance to attend their very own special prom – all at no cost to them or their families. The ninth annual “A Prom to Remember” is committed to providing more than 140 teens with a special night of celebration entirely free and Mike & Jane Knausz joined Hollie & Alexa today with a preview of this weekend’s event!

Below are the questions Hollie & Alexa asked Mike & Jane:
What is a A Prom To Remember’s mission?
How many teens do you expect this year?
How is an event like this made possible?
Leading up to this event…how do teens prepare for this prom?
How many teens shopped for their dream dresses?
Who will be on the guest list for this event?
Will each teen be dropped off in a limo?
What is this year’s theme?
WKYC’s Dawn Kendrick is the master of ceremonies…what else will teens get to experience at this prom?
