Cinco de Meow event to raise money for local animal rescue

Celebrate the fifth of May for a good cause!

LAKEWOOD -- Everyone loves Cinco de Mayo, but there's now a place for cat lovers to celebrate the May holiday.

Tails From The City and Lucky Paws animal rescues have combined efforts for the third annual Cinco de Meow fundraiser.

The May 5 event takes place at Lakewood's Around The Corner. Attendees will have access to an all-you-can-eat taco bar, raffle baskets, a 50-50 raffle and other prizes and giveaways.

The two cat rescues came together two years ago for the first Cinco de Meow, which drew more than 300 guests. This year, they hope to draw more than 400.

Presale tickets can be purchased here.

Tails From The City rescues nearly 500 cats each year with 40 volunteers. Lucky Paws rescues about 300 annually, in addition to caring for colonies of feral cats on Cleveland's west side.
