Local woman pitching board game idea to Walmart

Walmart has taken interest in The County Fair Game, a board game created by a local woman.

Walmart is looking for the next big American-made product to add to its store shelves.

They think they may have found the perfect fit, a unique board game that's been building buzz for the last ten years, made by a local company.

On Thursday's Donovan Live, Jimmy was joined by Joanne Zwingler Farinacci, creator of The County Fair Game.

Although her company, J. Bell-Jones, is based in Cleveland, Joanne grew up in rural Ohio and every year attended a large county fair. Her background is in magazine journalism and corporate writing.

Walmart surprised her at a recent local pitch, telling her she's already approved and going to Bentonville, Arkansas for open call to pitch her game to Walmart corporate.

In addition to offering The County Fair Game for sale through fairs, stores and catalogs, J. Bell-Jones donates games through the TIA Toy Industry Foundation, to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, to natural disaster victims, schools, hospitals, senior centers, and more.
