Wellington teen set to compete for USA Roller Figure Skating Team at World Roller Games in Barcelona, Spain

Emily Weegmann will compete in the junior freestyle skate next month

On Donovan Live, when young people are doing great things, we love to shine a light on it.

That was the case on Tuesday, when Jimmy welcomed Emily Weegmann to the show.

Emily recently graduated from Wellington High School in Lorain County. This weekend, she heads to Barcelona, Spain to compete in the World Roller Games as a member of the USA Roller Figure Skating Team.

Emily will compete in the junior freestyle skate, set for July 5 and 7.

Following the games, Emily plans to attend Lorain County Community College to get her associate's degree, then transfer to Cleveland State University to study physical therapy.

She was a four-year varsity cheerleader while at Wellington, and was also selected for the National Honor Society and elected to student council.
