'Front Row Friday' anchors share their Fri-YAY's!

Each Friday, Sara Shookman, Mike Polk Jr., and Jason Mikell will share the things that made them happy throughout the week.

CLEVELAND — It's finally the weekend!

In honor of our new show, "Front Row Friday," each week we will ask our 3News anchors and meteorologist to share what made them happy throughout the week!

In our first-ever edition, Sara Shookman decided to shout out the voters who did their civic duty earlier this week:

"My Fri-Yay goes to to the 23 percent of Clevelanders who voted this week. Between the mayoral race and Issue 24, this election was the most important in years for the city," Shookman said.

Meanwhile, Mike Polk Jr.- ever the comedian- gave a shoutout to someone he knows a little more personally.

"My first Fri-Yay goes to my father, Mike Polk Sr. Sometimes I get on his case for being a little too meddlesome in my life, but after witnessing Odell Beckham Sr.'s shenanigans this week, it seems I've been a bit harsh. After all, sure, my dad can be pushy, but at least he has yet to publicly post a video in which he maligns my co-workers and employers, causing me to get fired 3 days later, on my birthday. Thanks, dad. Love you."

Meteorologist Jason Mikell chose to honor the discussions happening across the pond when it comes to saving our planet!

"With COP26 happening in Scotland, I think it will yield a clearer path ahead for the big nations across the globe with the climate crisis," says Mikell, discussing the current climate summit going on in Edinburgh. "In light of my new climate series starting in a couple weeks, this is great news and it has me super excited to see what comes out of the meeting."

What is your Fri-YAY? Tell us in the comments of our Facebook and Twitter posts!

Have a great weekend, Northeast Ohio!
