Back in February a call went out to the community to nominate people who exemplify African-American philanthropy, and the name Joe Hathorne bubbled up as a “Hidden Philanthropist.” He joined the show along with the person who nominated him, Kevin Johnson of the TSOP executive steering committee.
Here are some questions Tiffany had for Kevin and Joe:
Kevin – As one of the Executive Steering Committee Members of TSOPCLE – when did you meet Joe and what made you nominate him?
Joe – what do you think about being nominated as a hidden philanthropist?
Joe, we understand you left a 6-figure job to purchase an Auto Wash. Why do that?
Kevin – Tell us what the community is about to experience over the next 3 months with TSOP?
Joe – What would you tell others in our community, particularly the African American community about “giving back?"
Kevin, what are some of the 20+ programs we have to look forward to?
Visit our social media, ‘We The People’ and let us know what you think of the work Joe is doing!
