Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank & WKYC Studios’ book drive

Help bring books to children in need.

There are so many different collection drives happening here in our community. People are always seeking items to help out those in need, from warm coats to baby supplies. Now that We the People is expanding to an hour, it gives us a chance to debut some new features… so we will be highlighting a different collection drive every month. And so we’re starting with the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank.  An organization very well known to us. WKYC has partnered with them many times in the past as part of our ongoing literacy work in the community. We know that they are always collecting gently used children’s books, to be given away to children in need. They have big blue collection bins all over the region. Here’s a look at a commercial we will be airing on WKYC for the coming month that gives you an idea of what happens when you drop a book into one of these blue collection bins.
