City Dogs in Cleveland will play matchmakers for humans and adoptable pups all weekend long, February 15-16, 2020.

CLEVELAND — Whether you're coupled up or flying solo this Valentine’s Day weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to share the love around town.

City Dogs is playing Cupid on Saturday and Sunday with personalized matchmaking for people who prefer puppy love, and it couldn’t be a more perfect night for dinner, drinks and comedy.

If you’re not feeling lovey dovey, that’s perfectly fine, too, because there’s an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party happening at Great Lakes Brewing Company tonight.

Be a part of Cleveland Museum of Art's CMA Love Story

What: The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) will host a day of programs celebrating love in all its forms on Valentine’s Day. Stroll through the galleries with your loved one and see the free special exhibition PROOF: Photography in the Era of the Contact Sheet. Enjoy the glow of 20 illuminated stained glass lamps and other Art Nouveau creations on view in Tiffany in Bloom: Stained Glass Lamps of Louis Comfort Tiffany. You and your sweetheart can take one of CMA’s love-inspired guided tours, or enjoy self-guided tours via the ArtLens App, featured artwork on the ArtLens Wall and the Reveal and Zoom Wall in ARTLENS Gallery. Provenance will also offer a specialty cocktail and a prix fixe menu inspired by Tiffany in Bloom. Guests are encouraged to share their CMA Valentine’s Day experience using #CMALoveStory.

When: Friday, February 14. The Cleveland Museum of Art is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-5pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am-9pm. The museum is closed Mondays.

Fireworks in Public Square

What: Whether you're single or in a relationship, you can watch sparks fly in Cleveland's Public Square this Valentine's Day. Showcase your love by joining the Foundation Skating rink in Downtown Cleveland for a free fireworks display. The show will even be synchronized to your favorite love songs. The skating rink will also be open, offering two-for-one admission to those that attend.

Where: Public Square in downtown Cleveland

When: The skating rink will be open from 4-10 PM with fireworks starting at 9 PM

Anti-Valentine’s Day Party at Great Lakes Brewing Company

What: “Swipe left” on bad pick-up lines, candy hearts, and gas station flowers and tell Cupid to buzz off during an indulgent Anti-Valentine’s Day celebration. Singles, couples, and the hopelessly unromantic are all welcome. Tickets are $45 and get you two drink tickets (both are for you), access to “Eat your heart out” hors d’oeuvres stations, tarot card reading, and a create-your-own love note postcard (to be mailed to YOU at a later date!). There will also be a photo booth and cupcake decorating station with Sweet! Ohio City Cupcake Shop. You also get to play DJ by adding your favorite breakup songs to the collaborative playlist. Love and Laugh Valentine's Day Dinner Show

What: It  couldn’t be a more perfect night for dinner, drinks and standup. Hosted by Cleveland’s Carli Robe, headlined by Kool Bubba Ice and with the comedy stylings of Akron’s Chevy Terill, along with a DJ and open bar… Really, what’s not to love? Get your tickets here.

Blind Date with City Dogs

What: Stop looking for love in all the wrong places and sign up for a special blind date meet and greet with City Dogs. Make an appointment by filling out the form at this link, to let City know a little bit about you and what you are looking for in a new dog. Then, when you arrive at the kennel, one of their adoption counselors will personally match you with a few dogs they think would be a great fit!
The adoption fee is $61, which includes a microchip, county license, spay/neuter, and basic vaccinations.

Sinatra Night at the House of Blues

What: Enjoy a romantic dinner for two followed by an evening of live music. After dinner, head to the Lounge for a complimentary glass of champagne and chocolate truffles to share along with a special Valentine's Day performance from Sinatra CLE. Guests can make reservations on Open Table.

Love Potion: A Natural Perfumery Workshop

What: Melissa Hale of Yates Perfumes is hosting an evening of fun where you and a partner can create two (two per person) custom natural scents inspired by love and romance. You’ll learn the basics of perfumery, including an explanation of notes, types of perfumery oils, building a scent, and blending ratios. This workshop will focus on natural perfumery with botanical and crystal infusions, with all perfumes free of alcohol and blended in a base of fractionated coconut oil. Registration is limited. Tickets are available in advance for members at $40 and nonmembers at $55.
