Mike Polk Jr. brings the happy on Blue Monday

On the day designated as the most depressing of the year, Mike went out to try to cheer up Cleveland!

CLEVELAND — The city of Cleveland has landed on yet another one of those lists that rarely portray us in a positive light.

In this case a website called bestplaces.net ranked Cleveland as the 4th gloomiest city in the nation, using criteria such as percentage of cloud cover, average hours of daylight and days with precipitation.

Now, of course we don’t take these clickbait lists very seriously, but there’s no denying that this is a pretty gray time of year for our area. Combine that with the fact that today is Blue Monday, which has been designated as the most depressing day of the year, and it’s fair to say that Clevelanders could probably use a little cheering up.

So we dispatched 3News reporter and resident Mirth-Maker Mike Polk Jr. to downtown with the directive of pepping up the people.
