The much-awaited third installment of Legally Blonde is getting a brand new, powerhouse writing team, the busiest man in Hollywood squashes rumors of a serious health issue with a quick return to TV on Wednesday, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrate their second wedding anniversary from the comfort of their current compound in Los Angeles, in another busy day for Hollywood headlines.

Ryan Seacrest is back on the air after taking just one day off to recover from exhaustion after people were worried he had a stroke on the air during the American Idol finale on Sunday.

According to his rep, Ryan's slurred speech and drooping eye were due to excessive stress thanks to a lack of work-home balance.

That should come as no surprise, as Ryan is currently juggling 'Live with Kelly and Ryan,' 'American Idol,' the Disney Family Singalong specials and his regular weekday syndicated radio show, 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest.'

On 'Live' today, Ryan thanked co-host Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos for filling in for him on Monday and thanked fans for their 'very kind well-wishes,' saying he got a day off to relax and now he's back at it.

On the other hand, Harry and Meghan Markle are enjoying their downtime from royal duties and celebrated their second wedding anniversary on Wednesday at the California compound where they've been quarantining.

Two years ago today billions of people around the world tuned in to watch them tie the knot, and a lot has happened between then and now, including the birth of their son, Archie, who turned one year old on May 6.

Harry and Meghan's last official appearance as senior royals was in March, after which they quickly made their way from a stop-over in Canada to Southern California.

Another Southern California character we all love, Elle Woods, is finally getting her moment back in the spotlight.

Legally Blonde 3 is officially in the works with Reese Witherspoon returning to her legendary role, and producing the film through her company, Hello Sunshine.

Reese tweeted on Wednesday that she's teaming up with Dan Goor and Mindy Kaling, who will partner to write the script.

She shared a photo of Mindy dressed up like Elle and holding a stuffed dog as if it were 'Bruiser Woods,' Elle's adorable chihuahua, writing:

'Some things are just meant to be! I’m SOOO excited to have @mindykaling and @djgoor writing Legally Blonde 3! This is #ElleWoodsApproved!'

Mindy shared a screenshot of a Deadline article announcing the movie, writing:

'Finally some use for my Elle Woods fan fiction! So excited to be reunited with my friends @reesewitherspoon @laurenneu [Hello Sunshine banner head of Film and Television Lauren Neustadter] and Dan Goor to work on this movie. Elle Woods is so iconic, proving you can be girly and smart at the same time. Bend and snap people!'

Reese originally signed on for the third movie in 2018, with the original writers from the first and second films.

Deadline reported that this version is not a re-write, but instead a completely fresh take.
