Al Roker coming to Cleveland this week: 'Very excited' to co-host 'GO!' morning show at WKYC Studios

We also have some special surprises in store when Al Roker visits us in Cleveland this week.

CLEVELAND — We. Can't. Wait!

Our friend Al Roker of NBC's TODAY is coming to Cleveland this Thursday -- and he will be live with us at WKYC Studios to co-host the GO! morning show alongside Maureen Kyle, Dave Chudowsky, Hollie Strano and Danielle Wiggins.

“I am very excited!" Roker said while making a brief appearance with us from New York early Tuesday morning. "Wednesday night I’m giving a speech at the University of Akron, then Thursday morning I will be with you all. Very excited.”

We also teased Roker that we have a few surprises in store for his Thursday visit. What could they be? Stay tuned…

Roker, who worked in Cleveland at WKYC for five years early in his career, has previously said Northeast Ohio "is literally my second home."

During his last visit with us back in May of 2021, we announced that our radar tower was being renamed in his honor. You can watch that moment in the video below:
