12-year-old girl creates Lego rendition of Ohio COVID-19 statehouse briefings

Her family posted her hard work in the Dr. Amy Acton Fan Club Facebook page and it got tons of love: more than 2,000 likes!

CLEVELAND — One 12-year-old Ohio girl is going viral for all the right reasons.

Erinn Verkennes is a big Dr. Amy Acton fan—so much so that she created a Lego rendition of her family watching the daily coronavirus updates from Dr. Acton and Gov. Mike DeWine. The setup is quite detailed, with she and her brother joining their parents in the living room as DeWine gives his daily update from the Statehouse.

Those familiar with the 2 p.m. briefings (known by many as "Wine with DeWine") know the layout of the room, but Erinn went all out: Not only is DeWine at his podium and in the room with Acton and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, but the blue screen and bottles of hand sanitizer also adorn the space. American Sign Language interpreter Marla Berkowitz is even in the upper-right hand corner, as she is on each broadcast!

Erinn's father Joe even shared his wife's original post in the "Dr. Amy Acton Fan Club" Facebook group. It currently has more than 2,000 likes!

"All the kids love Dr. Amy!" Joe wrote.
