Need a drink? Here's how to make a 'Quarantini' courtesy of comedian Guy Torry

Grab your martini glasses!

CLEVELAND — It's better to laugh than to cry these days.

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, it seems as though we'll be staying at home longer than originally expected.

On Thursday, Gov. Mike DeWine announced that the state is extending its stay-at-home order until May 1.

So as we all stay hunkered down, here at 3News we want to ensure you have fun while following the stay-at-home order. So we enlisted the help of actor, comedian and radio personality Guy Torry.

"After receiving the news from California’s governor to stay home, Guy turned his kitchen into a studio," Torry said.

Since, the order, Torry has been taking advantage of the time to connect with his fans.

"I said, you know what, let me engage my fans and do 'Comedy Kitchen.' Let them learn something at the same time. Laughing and learning is good."

He’s made everything from collard greens to Moscow mules.

But for us... He made something extra special: The "Quarantini."

Recipe:

  • Martini glass
  • Shaker with ice
  • Shot and a half of your favorite vodka
  • Six ounces of ginger beer
  • Two cap fulls of lime juice
  • Shake it up
  • Pour into a cup
  • Garnish with some fresh mint, smack it and you're done!

Smile and enjoy!
