VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter has reduced dog adoption fees from $95.00 to $25.00 from Wednesday July 27. 2022 until Sunday, July 31, 2022 to celebrate Christmas in July.
The fee reduction is due to the large number of dogs currently in the shelter. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, 2022 dog license, microchip and current rabies tag.
Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter Executive Director Mindy Naticchioni said "The shelter is at a critical capacity level, so what better way to encourage people to adopt a new family member than by celebrating Christmas in July. We have so many amazing dogs looking for homes! By adopting one dog, you help two, because you're also helping the one you make space for at the shelter".
The county shelter continues to take in a high volume of lost and stray dogs as summer continues. People that have lost dogs are encouraged to check the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter (CCAS) website to see if the lost dog is at the shelter.
The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is open to the public Saturday from 10:30 am until 4:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm until 4:00pm. Available pets can be viewed at https://www.cuyahogadogs.com/. The shelter is located at 9500 Sweet Valley Dr, Valley View, OH 44125.
