Cleveland Metroparks Zoo welcomes reindeer calf

On Monday, the female calf explored the outside habitat for the first time.

CLEVELAND — There's a new addition at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo!

On April 1, Petunia gave birth to her second baby calf. Calves are typically 13- 17 pounds and grow their antlers withing their first year of life, according to the zoo's Facebook page. 

On Monday, the female calf explored the outside habitat for the first time. 

While the zoo has not yet announced a name for the calf, the zoo says it will provide updates on their Facebook page.
