CLEVELAND — Last week, Cleveland Animal Care and Control AKA City Dogs started getting calls from motorists about a stray dog on I-90 near E. 55th Street. Several motorists stopped to catch the dog so she wouldn't get struck on the freeway and a good Samaritan was finally able to lure the dog into their vehicle with a hamburger.

Witnesses say the dog was dumped from a vehicle in the area of E.55 and Opportunity Corridor. The dog was described as petrified. She was taken to the city kennel.

The staff and volunteers at City Dogs saw how emaciated she was and got her the veterinary treatment needed.  Local pet rescue Muttley Crue Rescue-CLE is now taking care of her as she recovers from any trauma and or other medical issues she may have.

The dog, believed to be 10-years-old, spent nine days at the vet.

Anyone that would like to donate to the rescue to help with the veterinarian bills can do so at https://muttleycruerescue.com/index.html.
