WESTLAKE, Ohio — Westlake Police made an unusual rescue call Monday, helping tend to an owl that got stuck in a soccer net.

The Great Horned Owl was trapped when police were dispatched. Animal Control Officer Wang arrived on scene to help the bird.

Wang was able to free the owl and take him the Lake Erie Nature Center to be evaluated, where he was thankfully determined to be uninjured.

This isn't the first time Officer Wang has made headlines for his animal assists: Back in June, he helped rescue a baby deer that was stuck in a window well.
