'Owl Prowl' event hopes to get viewers up close with some of NE Ohio's most incredible birds

Tickets are still available for the 6:30 p.m. event.

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Calling all bird enthusiasts: Tonight is a great night for you.

The Owl Prowl at Lake Erie Science and Nature Center allows you to get to know these incredible birds of prey, in an up close and personal way.

In addition to learning about the resident owls at the center, many of which, are being rehabbed, participants can also take a nature walk through the Huntington Reservation, lead by a naturalist. The hope, during that guided hike, is to catch the owls in their natural habitat. Many owl species, like the screech owl reside in Northeast Ohio.

The event also includes a planetarium show and plenty of "Owlish" activities. There are lots of other animals and insects too, as we saw this morning...

Tickets are still available for the 6:30 p.m. event.  For more information, click here.
