The Summit County Divison of Animal Control is reducing adoption fees for dogs and cats from July 1, until July 30.

The month-long promotion is part of a campaign called "Dog Days of Summer."

To help encourage individuals to adopt a new furry friend, the cost to adopt a dog is reduced to $10, and the cost to adopt a cat is reduced to $5.

The price cut is significant as it usually costs $94 to adopt a dog and $50 for a cat.

Anyone adopting a dog from the Summit County Division of Animal Control must purchase a county dog license for $18.
