BrickUniverse Convention for LEGO fans takes over Huntington Convention Center this weekend

Organizers call the convention a paradise for LEGO lovers.

CLEVEAND -- It's a dream come true for LEGO lovers. The Huntington Convention Center in downtown Cleveland is full of intricate displays that are all created from those little plastic bricks.

The BrickUniverse LEGO Convention For LEGO fans is in Cleveland this weekend. Attendees will get a chance to meet professional LEGO artists, view elaborate displays and put their own building skills to the test.

18-year-old Greyson Beights is the founder of BrickUniverse. He says the mission of his organization is to change the world one brick at a time.

"We're just trying to inspire and create with the next generation through LEGO," says Beights.

This is BrickUniverse's second year in Cleveland. The convention runs Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Huntington Convention Center.

Tickets are $15 and must be purchased on the BrickUniverse website. Children 2 and younger are free.
