Shaker Heights family celebrates virtual graduation of three children from Ohio State University

Donald and Lisa McGuthery had three children graduate from the home of Buckeyes Sunday morning.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — The coronavirvus pandemic has caused much the Class of 2020 to shift to virtual graduations and social distancing celebrations. 

On Sunday, like many others will, Ohio State University held it's first-ever virtual commencement. While thousands attended the virtual commencement, featuring Apple CEO Tim Cook, as the keynote speaker; the ceremony was three times as special for a Shaker Heights couple. 

Donald and Lisa McGuthery had three children graduate from the home of Buckeyes Sunday morning. 

The couple's oldest and middle daughters Anique and Samirah received a MBA in Marketing and B.S. in Social Work respectively. And their nephew, Kenshawn( who they've raised since the passing of his father in 2010) also received his B.S. in Social Work. 

The family held a parade after the ceremony in their Shaker Heights neighborhood to celebrate their accomplishments. Family and friends were able to drive-by and honk their horns.
