Berea Rib Cook-Off canceled because of coronavirus

The Berea City Club made the announcement on Sunday. This would have been the 22nd annual event.

BEREA, Ohio — The Berea City Club announced Sunday that the 2020 National Rib Cook-Off & Beer Fest has been canceled due to uncertainty over when coronavirus restrictions will be lifted.

"With much going on with pandemic and still so much unknown as to events, large gatherings, social distancing and more, a decision has been made to cancel this year's kick-off to summer," the City Club said in their announcement. "We know our event is one that Northeast Ohio looks forward to each year and we are already looking forward to being back in 2021."

This year's festival was scheduled for May 22 through May 25 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. It would have been the 22nd annual event.
