CLEVELAND -- Barrio is entering new food territory: Brunch!
Starting this weekend, the iconic Northeast Ohio restaurant chain will offer its new weekend brunch menu.
Executive Chef Nico Chesnick dropped by WKYC's studios Friday morning to show us some of what you can expect.
The new brunch menu items include:
Biscuits and gravy: Homemade jalapeno cheddar biscuits, chorizo gravy, fried egg, cilantro
Seasonal French toast bowl
Smoked salmon: Caper and scallion cream cheese, chopped egg, red onion, dill crema, everything "bagel" spiced tortilla crunch.
Machaca con huevos: Barrio shredded beef and scrambled eggs, chihuahua cheese, roasted red pepper, picked red onion, avocado.
Huevos rancheros: Refried black beans, queso fresco, fried egg, pico de gallo avocado, cilantro-lime crema.
Chicken and waffle: Orange-thyme waffle-battered chicken, slow-cooked collard greens, thick-cut bacon, bourbon-cinnamon infused spicy Ohio maple glaze.
