The Greater Cleveland Food Bank will host it's weekly food distribution drive-through program tomorrow, Thursday November 19, at the City of Cleveland Municipal Parking Lot, 1503 South Marginal Road from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. This is expected to be the food bank's largest distribution of the year.
Last week, more than 2,800 families received fresh produce and perishable items such as milk, cheese and bread.
Tomorrow is the food bank's last distribution before the Thanksgiving holiday. Families can expect to receive fresh fruits and vegetables, including sweet potatoes, apples, carrots and onions.
Anyone in need of food needs to pre-register for the distribution here. Just like with other distribution events over the last few months, participants are required to stay in their cars with masks on and the windows closed. You're also asked to clear out your trunk, so the distributors can safely place the food in your vehicle.
As many prepare for Thanksgiving, the need remains high for those served by the Greater Cleveland Food Bank especially during the pandemic. More than 404,000 clients have used the food bank and their partner agencies so far this year and for many, this is the first time they have visited the food bank.
