BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Life gets hectic. We get it.

With dinner at the end of that hectic day, we could all use meals on the go.

Our "go-to-guy" is chef and restaurant owner Mike Smith. He's the man behind the Thyme Table restaurant in Bay Village.

He's also the father of five.

His go-to recipe:

1 package of Italian sausage

Small bag of baby potatoes

1 lb of brussels sprouts (or broccoli)

Fresh rosemary

Fresh thyme

1 shallot

1 clove garlic

Method:

Place the sausage on a baking sheet or oven safe skillet. Put it in the 350 degree pre-heated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

While the sausages are baking, boil the small potatoes for 20 minutes and chop the shallot and garlic.

When the potatoes and sausages are done, slice into wedges.

Sautee the shallot, garlic and herbs until brown. Add the sausage, sprouts and potatoes. Sautee for a few minutes until the sprouts are lightly cooked.

Serve and enjoy!
