Renowned Chef and Cleveland native, Michael Symon is planning to introduce residents on the east side of the city to authentic "Cleveland" barbeque this summer.

Symon and his partners are transforming the former B-Spot Burgers location at Eton into Mable's BBQ, offering "new experiences including a BBQ + Bourbon club environment."

The menu is centered around Symon's signature barbeque sauce made from locally-made Bertman's ballpark mustard and European spices. The laid-back restaurant offers a variety of fruit wood smoked meats such as brisket and ribs and a host of side dishes and desserts.

“Our Mabel’s BBQ concept is ideal for the East side community, and we are excited to introduce the restaurant and all it has to offer this Summer,” said Doug Petkovic, Partner of Michael Symon Restaurants.

B Spot Burgers officially closed on Sunday, May 2. The new Mabel's location is expected to open this summer.

“After seeing excitement and popularity around Mabel’s BBQ on East 4th Street, and being regular diners ourselves, we knew that evolving together meant introducing this creative concept to the East side of Cleveland. We are looking forward to the future ahead with Michael Symon Restaurants, it sure looks bright,” said Lidia Richani, Executive Vice President of Leasing for Stark Enterprises
