Mitchell's temporarily closes Beachwood shop after employee tests positive for coronavirus

The ice cream store is now being 'thoroughly cleaned.'

BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Mitchell's Homemade Ice Cream has decided to close its Beachwood location until Sunday after a worker tested positive for the coronavirus.

A post on Mitchell's Facebook page said the individual last worked at the shop on Tuesday, and the store is now being "thoroughly cleaned." Carry-out orders, which the company began offering last month during the COVID-19 shutdown, will also not be available.

Those who have a pre-order or cake order reserved in Beachwood will be able to pick it up at the Mitchell's in Shaker Heights' Van Aken district. For further inquiries, call (216) 450-1129.
