AKRON, Ohio -- Last year, Akron and Cleveland were named two of the top 10 places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the country.

Now for 2018, the WalletHub study shows Akron and Cleveland have plummeted down the list.

Akron went from #7 to #22, while Cleveland fell even harder from #10 to #36.

“To determine the best cities for celebrating Irish-American heritage, WalletHub compared 200 of the largest U.S. cities across 17 key metrics, ranging from Irish pubs and restaurants per capita to lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day to weather forecast,” officials said.

If you're planning to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year, Akron is holding their annual parade on Saturday, March 10 at noon along Main Street. Cleveland's parade takes place Saturday, March 17 at 1:04 p.m.
