Akron folks are excited to "Rock the Lock" again, after the pandemic stopped Lock 3 from rockin' last year. Although Akron's Rock the Docks display is still canceled, the city is set for synchronized fireworks, and four displays stationed all around Akron will go off simultaneously Sunday at dusk.

The Cleveland Orchestra celebrating the start of the Blossom season this 4th of July weekend with outdoor concerts – the orchestra’s first public performances since COVID shut them down last year.

"They're out there rehearsing right now, and this is the first time they're on stage together since March of 2020," Ilya Gidalevich, the orchestra's artistic administrator, told 3News. "We were all teary-eyed when we started playing together again. This weekend will mean so much to us, to the audience, to the community."

Aside from a concert at Blossom, another way to enjoy a night under the stars is by watching the granddaddy fireworks display of them all – "Light Up the Lake"! Canceled last year, the rockets will make their return to light up Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland.
