Home for the Holidays: The Cleveland Museum of Art

“The museum has existed for over 100 years and we know that we are here for solace in difficult times,” said My Collen Russell Criste, the Deputy Director.

CLEVELAND — “Home for the Holidays” looks at how our favorite destinations during University Circle’s CircleFest are keeping up holiday traditions during this year.

You can still explore the Cleveland Museum Art through their website. On it you’ll find an image of everything in the museum’s collection. And that is not all.

“The museum has existed for over 100 years and we know that we are here for solace in difficult times,” said My Collen Russell Criste, the Deputy Director and Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

“Our website cma.org is the hub for everything. And there is a fun new tool there called ArtLens AI, as in artificial intelligence. So, if you upload an image your phone or computer, it automatically searches all the works in our collection and brings up pairings, a kind of match. It’s a really fun game to play,” stated Criste.

“We have a wonderful on-line store available were you can find scarves and socks, all with interesting art and pictures on them. All sorts of things. We can deliver the packages to you or we are going to be offering some curbside pickup as well,” said Criste.

“We have a new promotional feature called “Your Story, Our CMA”. Were we are inspiring the community to tell your our stories about past visits to the museum or how you first heard about or what you like to see when you come to visit,” explained Criste. “And we are going to feature these back to the community, on our website and on social media.”

“Art is about exploring the world and understanding what it means to be human. We are here to support the community and to give that and share that with the community,” said Criste.
