VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — The volunteer group, Friends of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, has set up an emergency pet food pantry for residents struggling to feed their pets during the COVID-19 crisis.
The organization is providing the pet food in hopes of keeping animals in their homes rather than having owners relinquish their pets to shelters or rescues because they cannot afford to feed them.
Any Cuyahoga County resident who lives OUTSIDE of the city of Cleveland can call the food pantry hotline at 216-706-9363 to speak to a volunteer about the application process.
County residents living outside of Cleveland can also visit www.fccas.org to download the application which can be emailed back to help@fccas.org.
Cleveland residents that need help feeding their pets can ask for assistance through the Cleveland Animal Protective League at 216-771-4646 or www.clevelandapl.org or Neighborhood Pets at 216-505-5853 or www.neighborhoodpetscle.org.
