Friendship APL to offer free pet food to Lorain County families in need

The pet pantry will begin operation Saturday, April 10.

Friendship APL, Lorain County's humane society, will begin providing free pet food to Lorain County families in need beginning this month.

The pet food pantry will begin operation Saturday, April 10, providing dry dog and cat food to residents in need of assistance. 

The pet food pantry will be held at the shelter's garage located at 8303 Murray Ridge Road in Elyria. The pantry will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

Amid the ongoing pandemic, masks and social distancing practices will be in effect. 

To receive the food, guest will be required to fill out a form with their name and the pet's information at the time of arrival. 

Friendship APL's pet food pantry will be held the second Saturday of every month. The shelter hopes that the pet food pantry will help to further its mission of serving the needs of the Lorain Community and their pets.
